Lessons are half an hour in length and taught weekly in Emily’s studio.  Books and materials are additional costs that will be invoiced when necessary.  A student generally requires 4-8 new books a year, depending on his progress; students should be prepared to pay an average of $5-15 a book.

Lessons are taught in the following semesters:  September-DecemberJanuary-May, and June-August.  31 lessons are scheduled during the school year semesters.  4 weeks are scheduled breaks for Christmas and Thanksgiving.  The additional 2 unpaid weeks of the year are reserved for the teacher to take off from lessons as needed for extreme illness, teacher conference attendance, or teacher vacations (with advanced notice).  If the teacher chooses not to use those 2 weeks, the student benefits by receiving those lessons free.  *see table below for rates*

Tuition is due at the first lesson of the month.  Any accounts unpaid by the second lesson of the month will receive a $10 late fee.  For your convenience, Emily’s Piano Studio emails invoices the end of the month prior to tuition due date.  Parents may log into their Music Teacher’s Helper account to view current balances and pay tuition online.  Tuition may also be paid with cash or check, made out to Emily Matthew.

The summer semester must include a minimum of 6 lessons.  Monthly invoices in the summer are based upon the weekly cost of $20 per half hour lesson.
