Emily is a pianist in Faribault, MN, where she teaches in her private piano studio. Emily has been teaching private lessons to students of all ages for over 9 years and is passionate about sharing the gift of music with others!
Emily began playing the piano at the age of seven, and her love for music grew throughout her years of piano lessons. During high school, she had the opportunity to study under a phenomenal piano teacher who fostered in her not only a love for music, but also a desire to teach piano lessons herself. Emily was honored with the highest achievement from the National Piano Guild while in high school. She was privileged to further her musical education at Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore, NC, while enrolled in the Music program. Emily is a member of the MTNA (Music Teacher’s National Association) and MMTA (Minnesota Music Teacher’s Association). Emily is not only a church pianist but also experienced with wedding music and other accompanying opportunities.
Emily is passionate about teaching piano and sharing the gift of music with others. She loves watching her students become expressive, creative, and skilled musicians as they grow and learn through piano lessons. Emily especially enjoys working with young beginners and creating a comfortable and energetic environment for them to excel. She loves inventing learning games that engage the whole musician and integrate vital music principles at an early age.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys running, organizing and decorating, and drinking coffee!
